Slightly behind target
Illustrative apprentice portfolio with sample data.
Apprentices use Journey to build their e-portfolio against the standard's knowledge, skills and behaviours, log off-the-job hours, take part in reviews and see their progress towards gateway — with their personal data protected and access limited to their own record. Journey is independent software and is not DfE or Ofsted approved. It does not guarantee funding or inspection outcomes.
Submit evidence mapped to the standard's knowledge, skills and behaviours.
Record your off-the-job hours and see how you are tracking against the target.
See upcoming reviews and your progress towards gateway in one place.
As an apprentice you have a lot to keep track of: the evidence you produce, the off-the-job hours you log, the reviews you attend and your progress towards gateway. Journey puts all of it in one place, mapped to the knowledge, skills and behaviours of your standard, so you can always see how the work you are doing connects to what you need to achieve.
Your progress is shown clearly, including how your off-the-job hours are tracking against the target and what is coming up next, so there are fewer surprises along the way.
Access to your record is limited to you and the staff supporting you, and your personal data is gated behind specific permissions rather than visible to everyone on the platform. The provider you train with invites you in; once you accept, your portfolio and progress are set up against your programme. You are never sharing a record with other learners, and your personal data is never sent to the platform's AI features.
Because evidence is mapped to the standard's knowledge, skills and behaviours, the portfolio you build is the one your assessor will look at — there is no separate 'real' system behind the scenes. Logging hours, submitting evidence and joining reviews all contribute to the same record that carries you through to gateway and end-point assessment.
Funding-safe and audit-ready by design
Every record is scoped to your organisation on each read and write — one provider can never see another's data.
Every state change is recorded against the real person who made it, so the history stands up at audit.
Funding is computed server-side against the right year for each start date — 2024/25 and 2025/26, and built to adopt the 2026/27 pack now published by the DWP.
AI is metered per tenant, prompts are scrubbed of learner PII and outputs are validated, falling back gracefully.
Built and operated by a UK company to externally-audited information-security standards.
No lock-in: export your data whenever you like, and your employer relationships always remain yours.
