What do employers get from Journey?

Employers sponsoring apprentices see progress, off-the-job hours and reviews for their learners, take part in tripartite meetings and provide the signatures the programme requires — all through role-based access scoped to their own apprentices. Journey is independent software and is not DfE or Ofsted approved. It does not guarantee funding or inspection outcomes.

Progress at a glance

A clear view of each apprentice's progress, hours and upcoming reviews.

Tripartite reviews

Take part in progress reviews and tripartite meetings with the provider and apprentice.

Sign what matters

Provide the employer signatures the programme requires, captured against the record.

Visibility scoped to your own apprentices

Employers sponsoring apprentices need a clear view of progress without wading through a provider's whole system. In Journey, employer access is scoped to your own apprentices only — hard tenant isolation means you never see another employer's or provider's data — and shows the progress, off-the-job hours and upcoming reviews that matter for the people you sponsor.

That view is read from the same live record the provider and apprentice work in, so what you see is current rather than a periodic export.

Your part in reviews and sign-off

Apprenticeships depend on the employer playing an active part. Journey makes that straightforward: you take part in progress reviews and tripartite meetings alongside the provider and apprentice, and provide the employer signatures the programme requires, each captured against the record at the point you give it. Nothing is left as an untracked email or a form that goes missing.

No cost to you, no separate system to learn

Journey is the provider's platform; as an employer you simply access the views and signatures relevant to your apprentices. There is no separate system to buy and no learner data exposed beyond what your role needs — the access you get is deliberately narrow and purpose-built for the sponsoring employer's role.

Frequently asked questions

Funding-safe and audit-ready by design

Built so your data, your funding and your audit trail hold up

Hard tenant isolation

Every record is scoped to your organisation on each read and write — one provider can never see another's data.

Append-only audit log

Every state change is recorded against the real person who made it, so the history stands up at audit.

Versioned DfE rule packs

Funding is computed server-side against the right year for each start date — 2024/25 and 2025/26, and built to adopt the 2026/27 pack now published by the DWP.

Governed AI

AI is metered per tenant, prompts are scrubbed of learner PII and outputs are validated, falling back gracefully.

ISO 27001 & Cyber Essentials

Built and operated by a UK company to externally-audited information-security standards.

Your data and employers stay yours
